I just saw this site when I tried to find my friend from Central School. Krishnan was my best friend from 6th grade to 11th grade. I remember going to his house many times. He had a collection of Janes books on airplanes and knew every single plane from the 1930s on. He always had an adopted squirrel in his pocket and then used to do surgeries on them. I got my first introduction to anatomy because of him. I remember he has a sister who usually ignored us pretty much. When I went to IITMadras and he was in MMC I used to go there occasionally as I was friends with Ashwin Shetty (who was in Don Bosco with my cousin Madhusudhan) and a few MMC folks. If anyone in the family wants to hear about his school days, dont hesitate to reach out; I live in in Phoenix.

My deepest sympathy to all that were close and dear to Dr Raghavan. He was a pleasure to work with. He never lost his focus or his kindness even when caring for the most critical patient, or dealing with the most difficult situation. He was a very gentle, caring, and intellectual physician - valued by both patients and coworkers. I feel privileged to have known him. My prayers are with you all.

Dear Latha, Rajiv and Maya
I cannot express my deep sorrow and sense of loss. I knew Babulu since premed and although, I had not been in touch with him for several years, he was often in my thoughts. I always felt that the bond between us could be easily renewed, but regrettably, that is not to be. I will always remember Krishnan as a true friend, a person full of life and fun to be with. My wife Tess joins me in expressing our heartfelt sympathy at your loss.

Dear Raghavan family,
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Raghavan at St. Mary's Hospital and I was deeply saddened by this senseless, tragic loss. I enjoyed conversing with him as he was a great man and one whom I deeply respected. All who knew him were very fond of him and feel numb by his passing. May the grace of God be with you now more than ever and bring you a measure of comfort during this very difficult time. My prayers are with you all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Raghavan throughout his years in practice. I will be forever grateful for my years with him. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and community.

Dr. Raghavan was our medical director but so much more than that. As Respiratory Therapists, we were constantly working side by side with him and drawing from his wealth of knowledge. He was so easy to work with...always had a calm demeanor and was very easy to approach when we had a question. He always had the answers for us because his memory for detail was unbelievable! He will be missed by our entire department as our mentor but mostly as our friend. Please accept our sympathy and know that we are feeling the loss more than words can express.

My father was a patient of Dr. Raghavan's for several years. Dr. Raghavan was a wonderful doctor with an amazing heart that shone through every time we saw him. His sense of humor and manner of dealing with patients was extraordinary and I always knew I could count on him. I always meant to tell him that, and I never got around to it. I regret that now. I am so very sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine how hard this must be.

Words cannot express our sadness in losing Dr Raghavan. We are grateful that we had "our Dr Raghavan" to mentor, guide, and lead us in the St Mary's Hospital ICU. He was always so graceful and kind and willing to share his smile with his patients, the nurses and the staff. We will miss his intelligent, thoughtful, and at times terribly humorous way of meeting the challenges we faced day to day in the ICU. He was so well respected by his patients and their families, his fellow doctors, and the nurses throughout the hospital. We will miss him so much.
Please know our thoughts are with you, his children and family. We are so sorry for your loss.
