Krissy Evans Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 13, 2018.
On September 13, 2018 the world lost a vibrant ray of living, breathing sunshine: Krissy Krygiel Evans. Krissy was born in Philadelphia to Mary (nee Dankiw) and the late Richard Krygiel on September 19, 1967. Krissy was the devoted wife of 19 years to Steve Evans, wonderful mother to "The Four Friends": Lauren, Mark, Andrew, and Scott, dear sister to Richard Krygiel Jr. (Mary), Robert Krygiel, and Joseph Krygiel (Colleen); cherished aunt to Charles, Amanda, Rebecca, Sarah, Zachary, Ella, Kerrigan, Jacob, Zachary, Calvin, and Evelyn; a beloved 'sister' to her cousins and sisters-in-law; and a dear friend to countless people who had the privilege to know her. Besides her unparalleled love for her family, Krissy was an artist first and a teacher second. She was a dedicated and passionate artist whose love of life and nature radiated from her soul. Krissy has inspired and left a unique impression on the lives of generations of students whom she cherished so deeply. Krissy's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched. Krissy had a zest for nature and the outdoors. She had the ability to appreciate the little things in the world around her – and called upon others to capture every moment of life. She enjoyed building wonderful memories for her children – exposing them to all of God's free admission theme parks: sunflower fields, farms, mountains, lakes, and apple orchards. Krissy attended Moore College of Art and Design, University of the Arts, and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She started teaching art in Downingtown Area School District in 1991. She first taught at East Ward Elementary School before joining the faculty at Uwchlan Hills in 2009. Relatives and friends are invited to Krissy's Life Celebration on Friday September 21, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm and again Saturday September 22, 2018 from 12:30pm to 12:55pm with a service to start at 1pm at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike. As a tribute to Krissy's colorful, positive outlook on life and joyful spirit, please wear your most vibrant attire. In lieu of flowers, donations in Krissy's memory can be made to The Sunshine Club at GoFundMe organized by Rich Krygiel. I was a student of hers, she was the most amazing person. She always brought a smile on my face, I miss her so much. I remember we used these huge pieces of paper to make all these fun collages. I also remember all of her Pez machines that lined the walls- I still keep my own collection to remember her.

Krissy was simply joy. Her loving ways , laughter and her joy of life were a gift to others. I like to think she is charming the Angels. Sincere condolences to the Evans and Krygiel Families.

Krissy Krygiel Evans was my art teacher from 1st to 5th grade (1997-2001). Krissy sparked my interest in the creative world - a world I never stopped exploring. Now in my late twenties and working as a professional in the creative field, I truly cannot imagine how my life would have turned out without the early impact of such an incredible, encouraging, loving and joyous human. I will never forget you Krissy. Your spirit will live on though the countless people you touched, including myself. Rest in Peace <3

Good Bye Krissy! you were the candle in the wind that burned out long before. I am so lucky to know you. You taught both of my sons when they were young and I still have the Arts they have created with you. We will miss your vibrant smile and joyful spirit. Rest In Peace!!!

Krissy was a gift from heaven. She was one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege to know. Her greatest love was her family who she adored. She was an amazing artist and always gave her all to teaching and sharing her love of art with others. She took time to spread her kindness and had a gift for bringing people together. I have the fondest memories of Krissy spreading out a tablecloth at the art museum and bringing strangers together to share a picnic lunch. She observed the world through a special lens and willingly shared her special point of view. I am so sorry to lose her as a friend and a colleague. My heart goes out to Steve and the four friends and all of her family. My thought and prayers are with you all in your grief and sadness.

Krissy, you were the most cheerful, creative, thoughtful person I ever met. Every time I saw you in your colorful outfits, I was instantly happier. And when you gave me a welcome hug, I felt so special. I loved all your artwork and the love of art (and kindness) you instilled in the students. Loving life, loving and making art, loving everyone around you, those are powerful qualities to teach young people, gifts that will sustain them throughout their lives. Art and love are eternal, and so is your spirit. We all will love and remember you and try to carry on your example.

I vo!interred for Krissy in her class the last few years. As a former teacher, I have never seen a person who loved and was committed to her job as much as she was. It was a delight to be a part of her world!

The LoMarro family was so lucky to have had the honor of learning so much about the world and art from the most amazing of people and teachers. Krissy lifted Hope up and taught her to express herself and made her feel special something so important for children. She was a shining example of what the best in someone can look like. For Krissy she stayed late and came in early to make sure her school children had the best support. I will always remember the countless conversations we had about our children. She loved her family and children with everything she had. She was always so proud of her kids and I know she will continue to be proud of them throughout their lives. When I look up and see the beauty of the sky I will know she is looking down on us with a smile and a paintbrush in her hands!

We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. Although we only knew Krissy to wave hello, we could tell by just driving by your house that a vibrant, joyful creature lived there. Know that your neighbors at 500 Fairmont are praying that God will bring you all comfort and peace in time.

Dearest Steve, Lauren, Mark, Andrew, Scott and all the family, I am so deeply saddened by Krissy's passing. Life is very fragile. She made a difference in life to all who met her. Sometimes, there just are no words...only love. She will be forever with you...right inside your heart. I love you all so much and I loved Krissy. She touched my life with color and love. I was heartbroken to hear of Krissy's passing. My children were privileged to have her as an art teacher at East Ward and I was privileged to get to know her there when my husband I produced the Talent Show and she got her students to help create the stage decorations. The world has definitely lost a bright ray of sunshine. My sincere condolences to her family.
