Kristal L. Nogowski

Kristal L. Nogowski, 60, of Fargo, ND, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Sanford Broadway Campus, Fargo, ND. 

Kristal Leigh Jensen was born February 11, 1964, the daughter of Stanley and Joan (Skjaret) Jensen in Shakopee, MN. She was raised in Moorhead, MN, where she attended school and later furthered her education at Interstate Business College. Kristal settled in Moorhead where she raised her family, later continuing her education at Minnesota State University Moorhead studying Psychology. 

On April 25, 1992, Kristal was united in marriage to Richard Nogowski in the Lutheran Church of Good Shepherd, Moorhead. The couple made their home in Moorhead until 1998 when they relocated to Fargo. Kristal worked for a number of years at the Share House, where she provided support to individuals struggling with addictions, demonstrating her commitment to helping others. 

She was a member of Liberty Lutheran Brethren Church in Fargo.

In her free time, Kristal found joy in gardening, reading, thrift shopping, listening to Gospel music and attending garage sales. She also enjoyed moments spent with Richard at the casino, and playing Bingo with her sister. Family was Kristal’s greatest treasure, she relished sleepovers with her grandchildren and gathering around bonfires in the backyard. Christmas was particularly special to her, as she made it a tradition to give her grandchildren ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree. 

Kristal’s faith played a significant role in her life, and she exemplified unconditional love and valued forgiveness deeply. 

She is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Tim Ronne; daughters, Tonya Follingstad and Tia (Tom) Campbell; grandchildren, Ciarra, Coby, Marissa, Brady, Cory, Calsea, Casey, Caleb, Corbyn, Ryot, Harmonie and Zach; great-grandchildren, Myles, Laurillia, and Braelee; sister, Charlene Wiener; brothers, Rick (Donna) Jensen, John (Julie) Jensen and Jeremy (Shannon) Jensen; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Joan. 

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Kristal will begin at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, September 18. 2024, followed by her Celebration of her Life at 1:00 PM, in Liberty Lutheran Brethren Church, Fargo, ND. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
