Kristen "Kris" (Londroche) Willey, 58 of La Crosse died Friday, October 13, 2023 after a short but valiant fight with Ovarian cancer.
Kris was born February 2, 1965 in , Minneapolis, MN to Gerald and Nancy (Helmuth) Londroche. She grew up in Fridley and graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 1984. She then graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in Community Health. Kris married John Willey, and they had 3 daughters who were her true pride and joy. She was so proud of each of them and who they have become and the families they have started. Kris enjoyed loving and spoiling each of her grandchildren.
Kris was a silent helper and advocate for many. Despite her struggles in life, she was always finding ways to give, donate or help others without being recognized for it. She was funny and loved seeing those around her smiling and laughing.
She will be forever loved and missed by her three daughters, Abbie (Matt) Loos of Winona; Alyssa (AJ) Harr of Coon Valley and Leah (Patrick) Neff of Richland Center; grandchildren, Kai, Hallie, Grayson, Gavynn, Bauer and Ivy; her parents, Jerry and Nancy; sisters, Kimberly (John) Holcomb and Korrin Londroche; special friend, Chloe; her bestie, Penny Clary; and many nieces, nephews and people who considered her a second mom.
Kris' family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Gundersen, especially Dr. Harmon and his team for all of their loving care shown to Kris throughout her cancer battle. She truly felt she was in the right place and being cared for by the right people.
In Memory of Kris, do an unexpected act of service for someone, leave a larger than normal tip next time you are out to eat, or just find a way to enjoy the fall weather, which was her favorite time of the year.
