Kristine Sue Soukup (Abt) age 56, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Appleton, Wisconsin. Born on January 7, 1970, in Wausau, Wisconsin, Kristine brought light and love to all who knew her. Kristine was the beloved wife of Wade A. Soukup and a devoted mother to her daughters Nicole Abt, Ashley Abt, Jessica Abt, and Racheal Baumann. She cherished her role as a grandmother to her many grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
She is also survived by her siblings Lori (Andy) Buchkowski; Jim (Maxine) Abt; and Rick (Rikki) Abt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Richard Abt, as well as her nephew Eric McCabe.
Family was at the heart of everything Kristine did. She lived for family gatherings—whether it was dinners, cookouts, or celebrating holiday traditions together. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and music from all genres that she enjoyed. Summers were especially meaningful to Kristine; she found joy in planting flowers and caring for her plants. She also loved spending time outdoors camping, fishing, sitting by fires, and enjoying cookouts with those closest to her including her german Shepard Max. She was a true animal lover and really loved German shepherds and cardinals. Kristine will be remembered for her amazing heart and beautiful soul. She was a kind and understanding person who always extended a helping hand to others.
Her compassion touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. May Kristine's memory bring comfort to those who loved her deeply and inspire them to carry forward the kindness she embodied so effortlessly.
