Kui Yun Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vander Plaat Funeral Home - Wyckoff on Nov. 19, 2025.
Yun Kui, also known as Yun Yueru, was born on September 10, 1929, in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. He joined the Shanghai Textile Industry Bureau in 1950. In 1953, he was transferred to the Shanxi Yuci Warp and Weft Textile Machinery Factory to build the plant. In 1955, he was transferred to the Central Ministry of Textile Industry in Beijing. During this time, he wrote speeches for several ministry leaders and published multiple articles in the book "Ten Years of China's Textile Industry."
In 1969, he was sent to Shaoyang, Hunan, to help establish the Second Textile Machinery Factory. In 1978, he was transferred back to Beijing and was assigned to the State Construction Commission, which later merged into the State Planning Commission (now the National Development and Reform Commission), where he worked until his retirement in 1994 as deputy director of the Expert Committee.
In 1994, he was invited to come to the United States to reunite with his eldest daughter and her family. In 1998, guided by sister Wang Weixin, he began attending church, reading the Bible, and learning about the Christian faith. In 1999, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the Bergen Christian Testimony Church in Wyckoff, entering the name of the Lord and becoming a child of God.
From November 4 to November 11, 2025, he was hospitalized twice due to low blood oxygen, difficulty breathing, and heart failure. However, the treatments were ultimately ineffective, and he peacefully passed away on November 12, 2025, leaving the labors of the world behind and resting in the Lord's embrace. He went to a more beautiful heavenly home to reunite with his wife, he was 96.

The Yun Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ.
