Obituary of Kurt Thomas Bradley
Obituary for Kurt Thomas Bradley
To all our family and friends: It is with a heavy heart we share that Kurt Bradley passed away peacefully on December 22, 2022. Kurt was a wonderful brother, a loving father and Papa. His daughters, Karen Bearden Lampp and Jennifer Knowles, along with my brother Keith Bradley and myself find comfort knowing Kurt is finally reunited with all the angels who passed before him.
Kurt was a good, kind man with a huge heart! He was fiercely protective of those he loved and was generous to a fault. He lived his life in service to others. He started his career in the U.S.A.F. and continued to a career in law enforcement as an officer with the Lake Alfred Police Department, where he rose to the level of Lieutenant and Assistant Chief.
In recent years he discovered his talent as a highly skilled grant consultant with First Responder Grants. Over his 20 plus years as a grant consultant, he successfully secured millions of dollars in funding for first responders around the country.
Kurt was a talented musician and singer. One of my fondest memories will always be singing a duet with him at one of his favorite karaoke bars. The man could sing!
Please don't mourn his death, instead lift a glass and toast to his life! His drink of choice; Jack and Coke! Here's to you brother! You will be missed, but I know you will keep watch over all of us.
We love you, Kurt. RIP
Kurt is survived by brother Keith Nelson Bradley (Sandy), Sarasota, Fl., sister Karen Bradley Cusick (Steve), Denver Colorado, daughter Karen Jackson Lampp (Josh), Rochelle, Ga., daughter Jennifer Michelle Knowles, Auburndale, Fl. and son Herbert Edward Knowles 111, (Lori), Auburndale, Fl., He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by both parents Paula Gaines and David Russell Bradley, Sarasota Fl., wife Barbara Bearden Bradley, Winter Haven Fl., brother Kevin Clyde Bradley, Sarasota, Fl., wife Janet Knowles Bradley, Auburndale, Fl., daughter LaDonna Cook Brown, Pikeville, TN., and great grandson Noah Kimbal Jackson, Oxford, Ga.
Memorial service will be held at Auburndale Memorial Park on January 14th at 11am. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please thank a first responder on his or her behalf.

Ah Kurt,
You were a fine first cousin.

I look at your photo and think of the numerous adventures we did together, both below and on top of water. When I moved back to Florida in the 70's you and I were almost inseperable in the many nights of fishing and crabbing the bridges, our evening forays into the night life, and daylight adventures around Sarasota.

You were a damn delightful first cousin, and true to my promise, I wrote of our precious times together.
You gave much to others in life. May your afterlife be just as rewarding.
