Kurt Keith Miles

A celebration of life for KURT KEITH MILES, 66, will be held 1pm Sunday December 7, 2025, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Kevin McDaniel officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Kurt passed away December 1, 2025, at Torrington Community Hospital and cremation has taken place. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements. Kurt was born March 3, 1959, in San Luis Obispo, California to Dwight Miles and Gayleen Bertelson. Growing up he was very fortunate to be able to see parts of the world like the Philippians when his dad was in the Air Force. Kurt was an amazing and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother he would have done anything for his family. He worked as a painter throughout his life, but he also was the family mechanic helping to fix family members vehicles when they needed it most. Kurt was currently working at Essential Fuels at the time of his death. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved camping, fishing and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Kurt married his beloved wife Mary on June 25, 1994. The two met at a babysitter's house over some baked beans. He is survived by his wife Mary of Torrington, Wy, his father Dwight (Jean) Miles of Fort Collins, Co. His brothers, Robert Bertelson of Seal Rock, Or and David Miles of Fort Collins, Co. Sister Mariana Bertelson of Seal Rock, Or. Daughters: Valerie (Jose) Miles-Morente of Panama City, Fl, Lynda (Ray) Galvan of Hillsdale, Wy and Judi Shepard of Cheyenne, Wy. Son Devon Miles and his Fiancé Stephanie Manthia of Sonora Ca. His grandchildren: Christian, Hailey, Kylie, Chailai, Cayden and Rayane. He was preceded in death by his mother Gayleen Bertelson, his son Kristoffer Kurt-Lee Miles.
