With deep love and heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Kwanzale Cozi Boisseau Jr., who left us far too soon on August 16, 2025 at the age of 11. Born on December 4, 2013 in Metairie, Louisiana, Kwanzale affectionately known as KJ or Kwan, brought light, laughter and joy into every room he entered. Known for being charismatic, curious and handsome with bright smile, he touched the lives of family, friends, teachers and all who were blessed to know him. Kwanzale read his Bible and fantasy books. He loved Spiderman, Anime, playing video games such as Fortnight, Call of Duty and Apex Legend, along with traveling to different states where he experienced thrill seeking rides, go-kart racing and lots of zoo visits. Kwanzale wasn't afraid to ride the biggest or fastest ride in a theme park and often challenged his family to join in the thrills. He enjoyed splashing in the pool while swimming and playing basketball or soccer whenever possible. He also enjoyed fishing with family and wouldn't hesitate to pose with their daily catch. His favorite TV shows and YouTube programs were Everbody Hates Chris, Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia. For most of his elementary years, he attended Granville T. Woods in his local Lincoln Manor Community. Within his community, he played at the gym with friends and rode his bicycle throughout the neighborhood. Most recently, he attended Ralph J. Bunche Elementary where he started making new friends. He dreamed of becoming an athlete, and in the words of Kwanzale, "all athletes are rich and they have two cars". Though his time with us was brief, his impact will forever remain in our hearts. Kwanzale is survived by his mother Jasmine Bruce, father Kwanzale Boisseau Sr.; siblings Jahan and Jovan Royal, Kamiya, Jhalae, Ziyah and Corbin Boisseau; grandparents Amber Bruce, Otis Lewis Jr., Chantel Boisseau (Earl Washington),and Elbert Jones; great grandparents Sharon Bruce, Curtis McGary, Lolita Lewis, Otis Lewis Sr. and Kathy Boisseau Anderson (Gary Danos), along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will carry his memory in their hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation and Funeral services on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA 70065 with visitation from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Prayer Services at 11:00 a.m. Interment immediately following at Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70003. The Repast will be held at The Grand Event Hall, 2544 Williams Blvd., Suite A, Kenner, LA 70065 at 3:00 p.m. Though our hearts ache, we are grateful for the gift of Kwanzale's life and the love he so graciously gave us.
