Kwaovi Dabanu "Desi" Desire Johnson

Kwaovi Dabanu Désiré "Dési" Johnson, 51, of Powder Springs, Georgia and Aného, Togo passed away at home on November 9, 2025.
Dési was born in Aného on May 15th,1974, to Adakou Nyame and Gabin Johnson and was beloved by many in the Johnson and Ajavon families. He had a natural gift for problem-solving and repairs and was trained as an electrician. In his early 20s, Dési made the long journey from Lomé to the States for the very first time, to help care for his Tonton Ayité. After his passing, Dési stayed to support his Tantie Florence and little cousins while they grieved. While living here, he learned English by attending ESL night classes, began working, became a significant role model to his younger cousins De'De' and Ayi, and a trusted and well-loved member of the local Togolese community. Dési was devoted to his family, friends, and puppy named Blue. He was a full-time hard worker, an incredible cook, a master of Do-It-Yourself projects, and the funniest person in the room at any given time. He was a rock and shining light to everyone in his life. There will never be anyone like him again.
Dési is survived by his wife Josée Kokoè, his siblings Jack, Tassigan, Béni,his son Frédérick, hisTantie Florence, his cousins De'De' and Ayi, and countless friends.

Kwaovi Dabanu Désiré "Dési" Johnson,51 ans, résident à Powder Springs, Georgia a été rappelé à Dieu, le Dimanche 9 Novembre,2025 à son domicile.
Dési a vu le jour à Aného, le 15 mai 1974, fils de Adakou Nyame et de Gabin Johnson.
Dési était l'enfant chéri des familles proches Johnson and Ajavon. Il était électricien, touchait à tout et avait un don inné à réparer les gadgets. Dans sa vingtaine, Dési fit le long voyage de Lomé sur Atlanta afin de raccompagner son oncle maternel Ayité qui était très malade. Après le décès subit de son Oncle, Dési passa la majeure partie de son temps à aider sa Tantie, Florence et ses petits cousins à gérer le grand vide causé par le décès prématuré de son oncle. Il en profita aussi pour approfondir son apprentissage de l'Anglais et prendre des cours nocturnes de ESL. Tres tôt il commença à travailler et devint un example hors pair pour ses jeunes cousins De'De' et Ayi,un booster d'excellence, un ami loyal et exceptionel dans la communauté Togolaise d'Atlanta. Dési était dévoué à sa famille et à son Chien "Blue". Blagueur de taille,il aimait beaucoup danser et faire la cuisine. Dési nous quitte bien trop tôt, laissant une empreinte lumineuse et indélébile dans nos vies. Repose en paix Dési.Tu resteras à jamais dans nos cœurs,inoubliable et irremplaçable,
Dési laisse derrière lui son épouse Josée Kokoè, son Fils Frédérick, ses frères Jack and Béni, sa soeur Tassigan, sa Tantie, Florence, ses cousins De'De' et Ayi, et de nombreux amis.
