Kyle Dean Colley

Kyle Dean Colley, of Portland, Oregon, formerly of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, son of Sheree Colley and the late Gillis Colley, was born in Wise Virginia on January 7, 1986. He entered eternal life on Thursday, September 25, 2025, being 39 years, 8 months and 18 days of age at the time of his passing.

Kyle was a loving son, brother and Uncle to all that knew him. As a lifelong adventurer, he traveled and lived a life defined by new discoveries and cherished connections made along the way. As a natural storyteller, Kyle had a knack for bringing his travels to life. Friends and family were captivated by his tales of new cities; he collected memories, not things, and his frequent flyer miles was a testament to a life fully lived. Kyle was a man of simple pleasures and deep connections. Though he never married his life was filled with a diverse network of friends and family who were touched by his generosity and kind nature. He had a gift for conversation and made everyone he met feel like the most important person in the room. In addition to his love of travel, he adored his job at DelTek, he proudly served as a Team Lead of Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer for twelve years.

Kyle will always be remembered for his quick wit, generous heart and sense of humor.

Kyle is survived by his loving mother, Sheree Colley of Prestonsburg Kentucky, his brother Jeremy (Jamala) Fuller of Whitesburg Kentucky and one niece Jaylah Fuller, also of Whitesburg Kentucky. A host of extended family and dear friends, Andrew, Brandon, Meredith and Fudge also survive to mourn his death.

Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Gillis Colley, his paternal grandparents Elmer and Martha Colley and maternal grandparents Rollin and Martha Sue Trent.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 O'clock A.M. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bufford Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Shade Adams Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
