Kyle Epps

Kyle Edward 'Eddy' Epps Jr. of Monroe, Georgia passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Eddy, as he was known to all his friends and family, was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 8, 1941, to Kyle Edward Epps, Sr. and Beulah Jane Barker Epps. Growing up in Knoxville, he lived on the same street as his eventual wife, Cynthia Amanda King Epps, who preceded him in death in April of 2005. He was father to 3 boys, and he had 9 grandchildren.
As a young man, Mr. Epps enjoyed playing and singing music. He played in a local band, The Migrants, who played at local festivals and churches for years. he spent a brief time as a Southern Baptist Minister and eventually landed a career in the Used Heavy Equipment business. He served as Used Equipment Manager for both Yancey Brothers (Caterpillar Dealer) and Metrac (John Deere Dealer) eventually opening and running his own business, Epps Equipment Sales. He was known throughout the southeast for his commitment to 'getting the deal' and willingness to go the extra mile for his customers and employees alike. He retired in 2010 and spent his golden years hunting and fishing with family and doing odd jobs to stay occupied. He worked at both Highland Golf Club and Honey Creek Golf Club in Conyers as well as Ashton Hills Golf Club in Covington, all in Georgia. He cherished the friendships he made working in the golf business and loved his 'golfing buddies' dearly.
He is survived by three sons, Kyle Edward Epps III and spouse, Jennifer of Sugar Hill, Georgia, David Madison Epps I of Saraland, Alabama and Jason Paris Epps and spouse, Roanne of Austin, Texas. Also, nine grandchildren, Jessica Epps, Josh Epps, David Epps II, Sawyer Epps, Mason Epps, Micah Epps, Mandy Epps, Sammy Epps and Isaac Epps.
Funeral services for Mr. Epps will be held at Scot Ward Funeral Home at 699 American Legion Rd. Conyers, GA 30012 on July 10, 2025. The family will receive friends from 4PM to 5PM with the service immediately following at 5PM. A Graveside service will be held the following morning, July 11, 2025, at Lawnwood Memorial Park at 1111 Access Rd. Covington, GA 30014 at 10:30AM. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from everyone!
