Kyle David Huff of Annapolis, MO, was welcomed home to Heaven on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the age of 40 years, 7 months, and 23 days. He was born December 5, 1983, a son of Dave and Cheryl (Hill) Huff who survive. Also surviving Kyle is his loving and devoted wife, Destiny (Mickan) Huff, his two sons, Hunter and Sawyer Huff, a brother, Cody Huff and wife Carly of Jefferson City, MO, his grandmother, Evelyn Huff, his mother-in-law, Linda Williams and husband David, a grandmother-in-law, Barb Mickan, a brother-in-law, JL Mickan and wife Candace of Farmington, MO, three nephews, Lincoln Huff, Chancellor Mickan, and Ransom Mickan; one niece, Haven Mickan, and many more loving family members, countless friends, and a loving community.
He is preceded in rest by his grandparents, Johnnie Huff, Ray and Ann Hill, a grandfather-in-law, James Gus Mickan, and a father-in-law James Michael Mickan.
As a boy, Kyle excelled in sports; he was a natural-born athlete who could do anything on any playing field. As he grew into a young man, he became a force to reckoned with on the basketball court. With his height, his skill, his knowledge, and his personality, he was an all-star through and through.
After graduating from South Iron High School in 2002, he was united in marriage to Destiny Mickan on May 8, 2004. He then earned his Bachelor's Degree in business administration from CMU, and started working for the ISP/SGI Corporation on February 27, 2006. While with the ISP/SGI Corporation, he worked his way from the lowest level position all the way up to Plant Manager. This accomplishment alone is a testimony to his dedication and work ethic.
Kyle was also an active member of the South Iron School Board, he loved to turkey hunt in the spring, deer hunt in the fall, fish for smallmouth bass, and of course fill his limit while gigging on the river.
After the tornado hit South Iron School earlier this year, Kyle was instrumental in organizing the clean-up efforts, and it was a success. He loved his community and school so much and took pride in them, he wanted to do everything in his power to help EVERYONE that he could.
Kyle was Hunter and Sawyer's biggest fan! He loved spending time and doing many different activities with his boys, who were his pride and joy. Any time you talked to Kyle about his boys, his face and eyes would light up brighter than the sun.
Kyle was a man of honor and respect. He worked hard and loved his family deeply. He was the son every parent wishes for, the husband every wife deserves, the father every child needs, and the brother every brother could count on and look up to.
Kyle David Huff will be missed by all who were blessed to love him, know him, call him a friend, and depend on him as a community leader. He was a pillar of Annapolis, and will be remembered for many years to come.
A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, beginning at 4:00 pm and lasting until 8:00 pm from the South Iron Gymnasium in Annapolis, MO.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am from the South Iron Gymnasium in Annapolis, MO.
Pastor Mark Winn will be officiating the services.
Interment will follow the services in the Lewis-Annapolis Cemetery in Annapolis, MO.
