Kyle M. Jimison, 72, died April 16, 2025, at Salina Regional Health Center. He was born August 30, 1952, at Ellsworth, Kansas, the son of Howard and Verda (Staley) Jimison. Kyle graduated from Holyrood High School.
Kyle worked for the Claflin CO-OP for over 38 years. He was a hard worker and a knowledgeable agriculturist that could often be found driving the countryside studying the different crops and speculating on the return they would have. Kyle was always on the go, he loved spending time outdoors, whether it was just eating lunch on the porch, checking out the buffalo, or driving every street in town with the windows down.
On August 23, 1975, he married Deborah Ann "Debbie" Mooney in Bushton, Kansas. They were the classic opposites attract. She being the outgoing one and he the quiet simple type. Debbie was a great cook and Kyle always had a heaping plate, rarely leaving any leftovers. They were married for nearly 48 years. She preceded him in death on July 19, 2023.
He is survived by his son, Chad Jimison and wife Misty of Clearwater; and three grandchildren, Taylor Jimison and companion Austin Pruitt of Ellsworth, Daxton Jimison and Tymberlin Jimison both of Clearwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, Jermy Jimison, brothers, James, Larry, and Mike Jimison, and sisters, Cheryl Urbanek and Cathy Preston.
Per Kyle's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. Friends may sign the book now and until service at the funeral home.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Diana Webster presiding. Inurnment will follow at Holy Name Catholic Cemetery, rural Bushton, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the Kyle Jimison Memorial Fund in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544.
