Funeral service for Kyna Faye Rhodes, age 76, of Greenville will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Peters Funeral Home with Dr. Russell Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior at Peters Funeral Home. Mrs. Rhodes passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in Greenville.
Kyna was born on August 22, 1947 in Paris, TX to Kenneth D. Wood and Melba Phillips Pruitt. She had worked as an insurance agent for Republic Insurance before retiring. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, spending time on the computer, her church, and being with her children.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Wood of Dallas, Jimmy Burt Jr. of Gatesville, Melissa Evans of Quinlan; grandchildren, Kyna Bricole, Amy Marie Carroll, Jimmy Burt III, Heather Ann Woods, Hazel Neighbors, Eddie Wood, Jr., Phillip Espircueta, Karley Penney, Virginia Thompson; sister, Tammy Penney; and well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Kyna was preceded in death by her daughter, Christal Evans; son Christopher Rhodes; and Ex-Husband Thomas Edwards.
