L´Oreal was one of the most supportive individuals and friends I had the pleasure of meeting while at SFA. She always had such a positive attitude and truly was a light for me during my time in Nacogdoches

How do you put into words what she meant to not just me but, to EVERYONE she ever met? She was my very first Best Friend. We had never ending sleepovers , my first church lock-in was at her church and it was a blast, she came to VBS with me every year, she was family. We sang and listened to Barbie Girl on repeat, we pretended to be Selena, she played along with WWF wrestling not because she particularly liked it but, because I did. We called each other immediately after we left one another- she even continued to call the landline at my parent´s house up until just a few months ago. She knew all and she loved all. God was first , family and friends second. She was strong, independent, she was sunshine.
I know with all my heart she was greeted at the golden gates of Heaven, ran into the arms of Jesus and then into the arms of her Dad. You´re in Jesus´ choir now, belting that amazing voice for all eternity.
I love you L'Oreal Johnson .
Always have, always will.

L'Oreal and I were apart of the same graduating high school class. I loved her energy. She was always fun, kind, warm, and welcoming to everyone she met. I´m absolutely gutted at this news and my prayers are with her family.

I met L'Oreal when I started working for the City of Waco.
She ran over to me in the parking lot to ask if my car was the one with the SFA alumni license plate cover. I think she graduated two years before me and knew a girl I worked with on campus who was also in AKA. I worked for Parks so our offices where across the hall from one another but we crossed paths often, caughting up on our lives and talking about alumni events we were planning on attending. She was a bright spot in my day and a warm smile when the days of COVID were long.
She will be missed, but I hope to hang on to that first memory of meeting her in the parking lot where both lite up meeting someone that graduated from SFA!

It was an honor and a pleasure to coach "LO" at Lakeview Centennial High. She had a beautiful voice and always joked she would sing at my wedding. She had a precious smile and wonderful soul.

L´Oreal and I got to sing together in High School in a group called Freedom. I was drawn to her instantly with that big smile and bubbly personality as I was a grade below and she took me in like a big sister. We had so much fun harmonizing together, karaoke nights and just always laughing together. I got to have dinner with her when I came home from college years ago and we got to catch up. It felt like no time passed. She was such a light for so many. I will miss her dearly.

L´Oreal was my linesister, also known as my "Link-Lo". She was a truly phenomenal person who loved and lived life and loved her Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and sisters. There was never a dull moment and only laughs with her. She will be missed. Rest well sister we love you, I love always forever and a day -PerfeKt Prodigy
