I was deeply saddened to see Lacretia had passed away. I was the aide in her first class at the Kindergarten Center. Lacretia was a wonderful teacher; a kind and beautiful person. She will be missed by many. All my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. My most vivid memory of the first day of school of first grade at Golson Elem. is of Lacretia and Patricia crying because they did not want to be separated. Too many memories to list. We started 1st grade together and we graduated MHS together. It is good to know she had a good fulfilling life. Love to all. Norma

I was saddened when I read of this in the local newspaper this morning. Betty & I knew Lecretia & Patricia back during our school days. Her brother James is one of my very best friends that I have today. Patricia's husband Max was one of my best friends back during my school days. Our prayers certainly go out for the family. I rejoice in the fact that I know that one day that as believers in Jesus Christ, we will be reunited in Heaven with a perfect body & we will be there forever.

Our entire family sends our sympathies to Lacretia's family. We grew up with her and the rest of the Elmores while living down the street from them many years ago. My wife, Brenda Granger Dean, graduated with the twins, it seems like a lifetime ago. We love you all:

I am so sorry for your loss of your wife and mother. Ms. Cooper taught my son, Mason in 2001. She touched his life through her work at Summers. Every year when school started he wanted to see Ms. Cooper first before going to meet his new teacher. He is in 4th grade and will miss her greatly. May God be with you all during your time of loss but know she touched many lives.

It was my honor and pleasure to know Lacretia. Our hearts were so saddened to hear of her passing. We are praying that our Lord of all comfort will provide to you strength and healing for the days and nights to come. Mrs. Sarah remembers so fondly the days that she taught Lacretia, Patricia & the other girls in VBS and GA's at New Hope Baptist here in Marianna. Lacretia truly grew up to make a real positive mark on her family, her kids at school, but most of all God's kingdom. We know that the legacy she leaves behind is one we should all strive to follow. God Bless You All. To honor her legacy, Mr.Herbert, Mrs.Sarah, and I will be donating Gideon Bibles in her loving memory.
