LaDonna was given life by her Creator and was born on September 7, 1935 in Minden, Nebraska, the child of Harold Richard and Irene Helen (Koch) Nielsen. On October 6, 1935, LaDonna received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On Pentecost, May 28, 1950 she was Confirmed at Fredericksburg Lutheran Church. Her Confirmation verse is John 14:15. She graduated from Minden High School in 1953.  She was united in marriage to Duane Lee Kimle on September 25, 1955 at Fredericksburg Lutheran Church. They were blessed with 68 years of married life together. God gifted them with three children, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. At the time of her death, November 7, 2023 God sent His angels to carry LaDonna safely to her heavenly home prepared by her Savior where she could rest in the arms of Jesus and have a blessed reunion with her loved ones and all believers in Jesus Christ.

God blessed LaDonna with a gentle, kind and loving nature, hard-working hands along with a servant’s heart with the joy of caring for the needs of others before herself. God also filled LaDonna’s life with many special people as she served Him in her vocations at home, church, work and in the community. After high school graduation, she worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company (1952-55). LaDonna faithfully partnered with Duane in their farming and carpentry endeavors. She enjoyed serving her Lord at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kenesaw.  She was active in Fellowship League, LWML and choir. Her love of music led her to regularly provide piano accompaniment for chapel services at the local nursing home in Kenesaw. In her community, she enjoyed her membership in the Shiloh Homecraft Extension Club and assisting in 4-H activities with her daughter and granddaughter. Some of her favorite activities in life included playing cards, reading, square dancing, assembling puzzles, watching the Hallmark Channel, shopping at craft and antique sales and enjoying the company of family and friends.  She will be dearly missed and always remembered as a faithful follower of Jesus, a devoted spouse, a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and a special friend to all who knew her.

LaDonna is survived by her husband, Duane, children, Mark (Sandy) Kimle, Marcia (Rev. John) Diener and Marlin (Jill) Kimle; grandchildren, Mitchell (fiancé, Krista) and Aaron Kimle, Rev. Michael (Bethany) and Matthew (Allison) Diener, Kassandra and Blake Kimle; great grandchildren, Olivia, Landon, and Connor Diener and Madelyn Diener; sister, Darlene Case; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Jean Powell; and many treasured cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Irene, and sister, Beverly (Jim) Bowers.  Thanks be to God for all His promises and His gifts of faith, life and salvation that give all those who mourn the certainty that because Jesus lives, LaDonna lives for eternity. She is at home with her Lord and at rest from her labors as together we look forward to the coming of our Lord at the Last Day.
