Funeral services for LaDonna Norris of Richmond, Kansas formerly of Amoret, Missouri will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation prior to services Wednesday 10 - 11 a.m. at the Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Benjamin Cemetery, Amoret. Online condolences www.schowengerdtchapel.com.
LaDonna Mae Norris, age 88 of Richmond, Kansas formerly of Amoret, Missouri died Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Richmond Healthcare and Rehab Center. She was born February 10, 1936 to Ortha Ray and Velma Louise West Ridley in Amoret, Missouri.
LaDonna grew up in Amoret, Missouri where she attended school. In 1953 she married Ralph Norris and spent most of her married life in Kansas City, Missouri. LaDonna was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was baptized at Bells Baptist Church in Kansas City.
LaDonna was known as feisty, to have a heart of gold and amazing who never took any flack and always spoke her mind. She loved crocheting, cooking, making candy and spending time with her family.
LaDonna is survived by two sons, Terry Norris and wife Kathy of Garnett, Kansas and Ronnie Norris of Nevada, Missouri; a daughter, Bonnie Norris of Nevada, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, Bryan, Terry Jr., Angela, LaDonna, Ricky, Taleacia, Amber, Nicole, Crystal, Gary, Christy, Jerry, Jessica and Megan; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Phola Hill of Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Norris; and her children, Jerry, Gary, Ricky, Cindy and Jimmy.
