LaMont Hughes Obituary
Lamont Hughes, passed away January 22, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
LaMont was born October 2, 1940 to Elizabeth and J.C . Hughes.
He is survived by Ruth, his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, daughter Gayle and her husband Robby, son Jeff, brother Thomas Risk Jr., grandchildren Cheryl (John), Cliff (Krista), Jaylyn, Lauren (Josh), Adam, and Tony (Taylor), and 13 great-grandchildren. Lamont loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Thomas Risk and Daughter Cynthia.
Thank you to Gayle and Robby who were able to get us to so many doctor appointments and for spending endless hours at the hospital, and so much more.
Also thank you to Jeff for checking in almost daily to see if we needed anything or there was anything he could do.
LaMont leaves behind many family members and special friends that will miss him dearly and that he loved spending time with.
No services are planned per his request.
