Lana Joyce Boling passed away on February 21st at the age of 81. She was born to Andrew and Oleta Becker in Austin, Texas on January 24th, 1943.
Lana was a proud graduate of McCallum High School who worked in various roles and positions ranging from the State of Texas Welfare Department, TRACOR Industries and various departments within the Travis County government where she retired in 2009. In-between positions, she was a dedicated stay at home mom who always made the time to attend to all the needs of her children. Many fond memories were made over countless family events including Sunday family dinners, holidays, special occasions and vacations.
She is preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life and husband of fifty-four years, Clyde Boling and leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law Carla and Stephen Knippa; sons and daughter-in-law, Eric Boling and Kris and Christy Boling; grandchildren, Clay and Amber Knippa, Kelli and Cody Deardorff and Haley Boling; great grandchildren Kate, Madeline and August Knippa and brother and sister-in-law Andrew and Carolyn Becker and numerous other relatives and friends. She would have considered you as a friend only after knowing you for a few brief moments.
The family will greet guests at a visitation to be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 29th at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas and funeral services to celebrate Lana's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 1st at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 West Anderson Lane in Austin, Texas. Committal services will follow immediately at Ridgeway Cemetery, 153 Ridgeway Cemetery Road in Paige, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Boling, Kris Boling, Stephen Knippa, Clay Knippa, Cody Deardorff, Gary Becker, Toby Fariss, Chris Hartenstein, and Wayne Klimovitz.
Lana was a loving and devoted mother, a woman of strong faith and a dependable friend. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was a member for over forty years, or the American Heart Association.

We are so very sorry to find out about Lana's passing. I have known Lana since the 5th grade & it is due to her that I had my first date with my husband of over 65 years. I loved her so much, even though we had lost touch over the last few years. She was a wonderful friend & a loving, caring person. She raised her kids to be wonderful adults & I know she loved being a grandmother. Lana was the total package, loving, kind, a Christian & for so many years, the best friend a person could ask for.. We lost touch when my husband, Alton became ill, so I lost contact with many dear friends. (my husband is much better) I am sorry to say that I didn't know until our son, Darron sent her obit to me. I so wish we had known, to be with her family for the services. Please accept our sympathies. I know her kids were heart broken and also Andy & Carolyn. We love you all & ache for your loss. Janis & Alton
