Bonners Ferry Funeral HomeLance Clifton battled cancer for almost a year and lost that battle on October 29, 2025. He was 59. Cancer, a label that can sometimes define a life, but in this instance it did not. Instead, it transformed it and brought him home to God. It also focused a community of prayer warriors together reaffirming how beautiful and powerful our Heavenly family truly is. While God chose to heal Lance by bringing him home, the constant prayer gave him and his family great comfort and support along the dark journey this past year.
Lance was an avid outdoorsman. He always said he felt God and was closest to him out in the woods. The stillness and rustling of the wind up on the hills brought him great comfort and revitalization. His phone was full of pictures of his loved ones, wildflowers and animals he would always see out of hunting season.
Lance was born May 6, 1966 in Willits, California. His favorite times were those surrounded by loved ones and friends. He could always be found in the kitchen cooking a huge meal for everyone. He loved get-togethers on holidays and when his children came through for a quick visit. He always had a story to tell, and if you were on the receiving end of his teasing or practical jokes it meant he loved you dearly.
Lance is survived by his wife Katherine, his children Alexander and James, their spouses/fiance Kierra and Jenessa, his parents Leamon and Mary, his sisters Tonia and Andrea, their spouses Lorin and Ken. Also numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his smile and cherish his memory forever.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 1:00 pm at Bridgeway Assembly of God 66027 US-2, Bonners Ferry, ID. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lance’s life and share memories.
