Dear Anne,
My heart goes out to you and your family at this time of immeasurable loss. You have shared how much Lance meant to you and the hole in your heart cannot be filled with words. Only love. I want nothing more than to be here for you. The bond between the two of you cannot be broken. His first steps, his first words, the first time he told you "No", the first time he told you he loved you and you felt it. The man and father he became. You must be proud beyond words. He will always be there with you. You will feel him. You were his first and never ending strength. A quiet within the storm he may have faced. He was beyond blessed to call you Mother, and for you to embrace him as your son.
I am lucky to have been your friend, Anne. To laugh. To cry. To share our best and our worst. Thank you.
My heart is your heart.
I love you more than words can say. Hang in there.
