Lance James Roger Hibbard

Lance Hibbard,  39, of Central Lake, passed away on February 3, 2026.  

   He was born on September 18, 1986 in Traverse City, the son of Roger and Kathleen (Dinsmore) Hibbard.

   Lance was employed as a Senior Program Tech at the East Jordan Iron Works for the past 13 years.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was known as the “family mechanic”.  He also supported his brother Chase’s football and basketball teams where he served as statistician and filming.

   Surviving are 2 brothers, Chase (Robyn) Hibbard of Central Lake, Jason (Crystal) Powell of Missouri, 2 sisters, Shawna (Jeff) Landers of Mancelona, Melissa Adams of Louisiana, aunt Gale Miller of Mancelona, aunt Stella Marlin of Howell, MI and many nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Scott Adams.

   A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating.

   Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until beginning of services.

   In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lance,  may be made to Central Lake Public Schools (Football Program) P.O. Box 128, Central Lake, MI,  49622.  

   Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
