Dr. Lance Kovar

My sincere condolences,

Dr. Kovar was my doctor for more than 15 years, never have I had a doctor so compassionate and friendly, with the best side manners. It is going to be hard to find a doctor like him. My condolences to his wife and children.May he rest in peace.

Dr. Kovar was my husband´s cardiologist and operated on him to save his life in 2015. We will be forever grateful. Our condolences to your family. We just found out and are truly heartbroken.

We are all truly saddened to hear of the loss of Dr. Kovar. He was our husband/father´s cardiologist, but he was more than that. He was a confidant and friend. My father genuinely trusted Dr. Kovar and the decisions he made for him. The Kovar family is in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We pray for strength for all of you during this time of mourning.

To us, Lance was not only a gifted physician, but a kind, humble, genuine man. He made our most difficult hours bearable, and was crucial in saving Jennifer´s life, even when it meant leaving his own family vacation without notice. This brings tears to our eyes. My family is forever indebted to Lance. Most heartfelt condolences to the Kovar family. Thank you for graciously sharing him with us. I truly wish that I could return the gift that he gave to so many.

Our deepest condolences to the Kovar family. Our family is so saddened to hear of this news. What a man and what a doctor. He literally saved our Father's life. Dr Kovar is one of the main reasons our Father is still with us today. Just up until a few weeks ago he offered to do a procedure for him. When we had visits to see him in person, he was only concerned with my Father's health. I would love to think all Doctor's cared about their patients like Dr. Kovar but that is impossible. During my Father's illness we have met many great Doctor's but not too many like Dr. Kovar. He was my Father's doctor, but he felt like family.....

I have been a patient of Dr. Kovar for over 15 years. The past seven years I have traveled from south Jersey for my cardiology checkups. There will never be anyone like him. He was brilliant, caring and kind and it was apparent he loved his profession. My sincere condolences to his family. They are in my prayers. It is a devastating loss to all who knew him.

I worked with and was a patient of the greatest doctor I ever crossed paths with. Doctor Kovar saved my life in May of 2016, I am forever indebted to him. I am devastated by the untimely death of a great family man. Like my primary doc said "you will never find another doctor like Lance". My thoughts and prayers are with him and the family.

I have known him for the past 16 years after having an emergency stent. Every visit since that fateful day in 2006, we have always managed to have a laugh and talk about our families. He was a wonderful man and will be sadly missed by all.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Kovar´s passing. He was my cardiologist for the past 9 years. I trusted him with my life and also felt so comfortable with him. He is in my heart and prayers. I am thinking of his family at this time and will pray for all of you.

Dr lance kovar, a great mentor, friend, colleague, physician but ultimately a father! I worked with him for about 4 years and he taught the staff so much, he´s going to be greatly missed

Dr Kovar saved my life in May 2019. He was a very nice Dr I´m so sorry to hear about his passing

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Kovar. On May 18, 2018 he discovered my heart artery blockages which led to the surgery that saved my life. Dr. Kovar was so compassionate and even visited me in the hospital while I was recovering. May he rest in peace and his family are in my thoughts.

Dr. Kovar was my cardiologist. He was a warm, compassionate and excellent physician who was a member of the team that saved my life after a cardiac arrest. I will never forget him and the way he persevered through his battle with pancreatic cancer. May he rest in peace and extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

The service today was beautiful and moving--although we wish it did not have to take place. It was a tribute to a life well lived and a man well loved. May his memory be a blessing...

I am so sad to hear of Dr. Kovar´s death. I worked with him in the Cath lab at Englewood hospital for many years. He was always one of my favorite doctors. Please accept my sincerest sympathy.

I am heartbroken to hear this news. I was a patient of Dr. Kovar's for over ten years. I have never met a more compassionate gentleman and highly qualified physician. He always asked excellent probing questions and listened intently to my responses to understand and provide the best cardiac care. Like so many, I'm still here on this earth today because of his remarkable skill and genuine concern for me as a human being, his patient. My sincere condolences to his family, especially his wife Beth and his children, who he spoke so proudly of and clearly loved dearly. The world has lost a wonderful, talented man and an exceptional doctor all too soon. Dr. Kovar will be sincerely missed not only for the extraordinary care he provided to so many of us but also for his kindness to all. May he rest in peace.
