My hero!!

Deepest sympathies to Lance's family. As a legendary musher who won the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race four times, he has left many memorable moments for you all to cherish. And may the God of comfort grant you the support needed at this time.

Lance Mackey was my hero; even to an old man of 75. I wept when I read of his death.Lance personified the true spirit of Alaska and we all are now poorer for his passing. My sincerest condolences to his friends and family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

My condolences to all of Lance's family, friends and loyal fans. We have lost a legend. I think of this quote now when I think of Lance. "When the legends die, the dreams end. When the dreams end, there is no more greatness." He was a legend and I will never forget him. I think of him now, reunited with all his beloved 4 legged friends and they are out on the trail together again. All new heavenly bodies, just having the greatest time.

I'll never forget how we met and became friends. You made Alaska proud with your feats. Now my dear friend rest well no more pain no more suffering. I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge when time comes. You kids will be in great hands and loved. See ya on the other side.

Rest in peace, Lance. You are truly a Legend, The Great One of Mushing. Your love for your pups was always contagious. I am sure that you are with all of your pups that have passed before, and that you are in Mushing Heaven! Sending lots of love to your kids and family! We will miss you.
