I just heard the news. My sincere condolences to Kristen and family. Lance was the one who posted a bid for me after we met, to get me from midport to slw. I'm glad he did, I got to meet, and work with his daughter as well. Hang in there Kristen, I know you will, he raised a strong daughter.

Lance Smith was a great man, I met him when I was hired by the Post Office, in 1987, and he was my boss for 19 years, we had a great working relationship and we became friends, I moved to Sonoma County in Northern California in 2009, and I found out that Lance and his wife loved to travel in their motor home, they loved to come to Wine Country here in Sonoma County, unfortunately I never got to see them, I think their last time out here was right before I moved here, I kept asking them when they were going to make it back to California, but they didn´t make it. I have lots of fond memories of my time of knowing Lance, he will be missed
RIP
Love you big guy

Dear Lance,
May you rest in peace, I worked next to you every day from day one,
You showed me the ropes, and how to work with people, compassion, and love. We meet at Port St. Lucie PO I was from Fulton Po and put in for Supervisor and you helped me.
And I looked up to you as we could talk about anything about life, and any questions I have, I was a new bee Supervisor , and you took me under your wing. I will always have those wonderful memories of you. Want to send love and Prayers to your family.
Truly and God Bless
