Lane and Julie (Kennedy) Tippen, of Jonesboro, Louisiana were called home by their Lord and Savior on Monday, November 10, 2025. Both Lane and Julie, Loved the Lord with all of their hearts and both were servants of His grace. God saw they were packed and ready for their trip, so he called His saint's home. He had to call them both as they were meant to be together forever. Not even death could separate them.

Mr. Lane Tippen, age 69, was born on Friday, January 6, 1956 in Monroe, Louisiana to Alson and Verla (Moran) Tippen. He grew into a soft spoken, kind, gentle, God-fearing man. Lane was not a man of many words, but when he spoke everyone paid attention. He was a loving family man that loved his family dearly, especially his wife, Julie. When they met, they became a duo. He loved to do lots of little things to show her his love and one of the most cherished things he would do is strum the guitar as she sang. His family loving called him "Good Man" because he was truly the best. Come Sunday morning Lane was always raring to go and had unique ways of getting the slow-risers out of bed in the morning to get ready for church. Lane would get his guitar ready next to the kids' bedroom door and start strumming and singing, "Rise and Shine and Give God the Glory." When he was taking the grands along for a ride, he would always remind them to, "sit down, sit back and shut up." This became a riding with Paw tradition. Anyone that knew Lane loved and respected him and he will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Julie (Kennedy) Tippen, age 63, was born on Saturday, June 30, 1962 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Jim Kennedy and Patricia (Lawrence) Wiltcher. Julie loved the Lord, her husband, her family, and most of all her beloved, Sami Sue. If you ever met Julie then you loved her. She had a bigger than life personality and she not only loved life, but enjoyed living it to the fullest. She was funny, smart, and always had one more thing to say. Julie never met a stranger nor missed an opportunity to talk about the Lord. She enjoyed spending her time teaching and preaching to all ages. Julie's family always knew when she was coming; they could always hear her in advance. She could usually be found singing and she could make up a song for any situation or phrase. When the family would come together and eat they always could count on her having cabbage and smashed up cornbread or be ready to make bacon and eggs on the spot. She always looked forward to game night, especially when Paw had the coffee ready to share. Julie loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Lane and Julie were a love story from the start. They had 48 years of marriage in which they created their legacy. Lane loved Julie and protected her from anything and everything he could. She was the glue of the family and he was always by her side. -John 11:25-26 "Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die."

Lane and Julie are survived by their children, Misty Alane (Tippen) Fitzgerald and husband Brent, Christopher Lane Tippen and wife Amy, Nessie (Tippen) Odenbaugh and husband John; and favorite child, Sami Sue.
