We loved Langley, and he will be missed. He especially loved my father, Fred Meier, and we so appreciated the times he took Dad to church on Wed. or Sun. evening when we couldn't. He was a man who loved the Lord and served Him by serving others.

So sorry to hear of Smitty's passing. He was a friend to all at Overnite. He always had that smile. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Mr. Langley was a treasure to know and loved Grove Avenue and everyone there so much.
He and Mr. Farrell were a pair and always laughing. He was the church's "Town Crier" in that he always let everyone know who was sick and how to get in touch with them and whom to pray for due to special needs, an he himself provided a lot of those needs, and for those of us who can't get there any more that meant a lot.
He was always at church for everything rarely did he miss anything, which speaks volumes of his love of Christ!
There will really be a big hole in Grove Ave. Church now that he is gone but we all know we WILL see him again.
If we can do anything, please let us know, he was a special man and know that you all will be in our prayers for YOUR loss, but HIS gain.
Just think he is with Jesus and having the time of his life. Hope Heaven has fried chicken!!!(haHa)
Hold on to Isaiah 41:10 as it will help through this time of grief. We loved him very much!

I am deeply saddened by the loss of a dear friend. There are to many great memories of the “Hoot” to list. Among his greatest attributes was his love for others, as he would always find the best in people rather than their faults. He had a wonderful sense of humor, his own unmistakably laugh (Haa, Haa, Haa) and the unique ability to laugh at himself. It would be interesting to know the total number of lives that Smitty influenced so positively over the years.
