Just heard of Lanny's passing. Ive known him for almost 30 years as Big Al from a movie I can literally quote line for line.
Good on him for all his achievements and thank you for serving our country.

Ray as we all called him back in the day was my cousin. We didn´t share much time with each other during our early years but eventually connected over our interest in our ancestors. Last time I saw Lanny I visited him at his childhood home in Troy and we sat on the porch and talked for hours. He will truly be missed. He was a bright spot in my life.

I know it´s just a movie to most, but BIBO is sacred to a lot of folks. Lanny was someone we grew up watching and will continue to do so! Thank you, Lanny and may you rest in paradise.

I met Lanny in 1981.Norfolk Va. Production of HOT GROG at the Virginia Stage Co. We became fast friends. He was the mayor of the Equity lounge. We'd ponder over the NY Times crossword, have lunch at the Times cafeteria or the Edison cafe. He said we should only talk about war and sports. We went to Baseball games and the race track together. Symphonies at Carnegie Hall, free tickets to Broadway plays. Always game. I hadn't seen him in a while but we still talked from time to time. I will miss him.

Lanny came to New York a few years before I did. He was very kind to me during my early time here. We worked together only once, the hat store scene in LITTLE AMERICA. He was great company and a good guy. He is missed. Gene Jones
