Laqunna “Cheree” Carr Trotter, 51, entered into rest on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
Cheree was born on October 13, 1973, in Macon, Georgia. She was a warm, social, and deeply faithful woman who never met a stranger. With a heart as big as her smile, she embraced everyone with kindness, always putting others before herself—even while facing her own battles.
Cheree's love for her family was boundless. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she made sure they felt cherished every single day. She led with love, showed up when it mattered most, and proved through her actions that family was everything to her.
A hardworking and selfless woman, Cheree had a rare gift—she could be a best friend to many while remaining unwaveringly true to each. Genuine, compassionate, and full of grace, she touched countless lives with her presence. Her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, David Trotter; children, Austin Williams (Heather Hartley), and Payton Trotter; grandchildren, Sage Williams and Devon Williams; parents, Schella Howard and Marion Howard; and sister, Shannon Smith, along with several other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Cheree will be laid to rest in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran, Georgia.
