Daniels Family Funeral Services - Strong-Thorne MortuaryOn Friday, March 20th, 2026, Larnetha called upon the Lord for rest and; thereafter, entered into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ.
Born Larnetha Holyfield on October 5th, 1949, in Camden, AR, Larnetha was the oldest daughter of the late Ferlie Mae Jones Ferguson and James Holyfield. She is also preceded in death by a special uncle and aunt, Floyd and Mary Jones.
In 1969, Larnetha relocated to Albuquerque, NM to attend Job Corps. She later graduated with a certificate in office administration. Larnetha worked as a housing specialist and retired from the City of Albuquerque after 25 years of service. Larnetha was a kind spirited person that lit up every room she entered. Her calm demeanor attracted many to her. She loved to talk and laugh and celebrate the accomplishments of others. She always made time for road trips to visit her family in Camden, AR. Larnetha was a wonderful cook and baker. She often hosted family for the holidays and on Sundays. Her carrot and German chocolate cakes were amongst the favorites that family and friends enjoyed. But nothing could compare to her infectious smile and laugh. She was selfless and even in sickness served others. She gave so much and never wanted to bother or inconvenience others. Her thoughtfulness made her one of a kind.
Larnetha is survived by her spouse of over fifty years Collins Locke, Jr, two sisters, Deborah Ferguson and Diane Burns, three brothers, Glen (Suiki) Ferguson, William F. Ferguson, George (Janine) Ferguson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends that will miss her dearly.
