James Laroy Causby, age 84 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Advent Health Gordon.
Laroy was born on August 18, 1940, the son of the late Rembert Causby and Eula Mae Rogers Causby. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Deric Laroy Causby. Prior to retirement Laroy worked for Atlanta Gas Light and as a truck driver. He was a member of the Georgia Cumberland Academy Seventh-day Adventist Church. Laroy was an avid race car enthusiast, enjoyed watching golf, and loved the outdoors, nature, and all of God’s creations.
Laroy is survived by: his three children, Laronda Causby Roberts (Kelly), Ivan Laroy Causby, and Dana Russell Causby (Shannon); seven grandchildren, Garrett Roberts, Glavine Roberts, Drake Causby, Anna Causby, Owen Causby, Laura Grace Causby, and Graham Causby; three great-grandchildren, Harper Roberts, Lowen Roberts, and Evie Causby; and two sisters, Dolores Causby Pasley, Deborah Causby Andrews; and special friend, Glenda Long.
A celebration of the life of Laroy will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Don Keele Jr. and Jennifer Thomason officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
