Larry Joel Alverson, born on August 16, 1947, passed away peacefully in Kenneth City, FL on May 29, 2025 surrounded by close friends. A man best known for his kind heart and witty humor, Larry's presence filled a room with warmth and laughter. Larry's kindness, generosity, and unforgettable charm touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him, and his legacy is one that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he left behind. Larry's compassion and love for others were undeniable, his relationships with them a testament to the love and affection he had in his heart.
Larry had a palate for the simple pleasures in life, including caring for plants, reading books, and eating delicious food, with ice cream and chocolate reigning supreme among his favorite foods. Thoughtful and ever curious, Larry had a fondness for books of all genres, his love for reading taking him to worlds beyond his imagination. His recreational activities showcased his love for nature and tranquility. Larry found joy in reading and taking care of his plants, an activity that allowed him to learn, nurture, and grow. He loved to walk around looking at the plants and appreciating the beauty of the world around him at a steady pace. Always willing to share his wisdom with others, Larry passed on the valuable skill of plant care to his friends. His lessons reflected his love for nature and his desire to preserve it. Through this knowledge, Larry's passion for plants is a legacy and continues to flourish in others.
Larry is remembered fondly by his sister, Sandra Blanks, and his close friends, Rob and Angela Schuck with whom he attended Radius Church regularly. His faith in Jesus secured his place in heaven and we know we will see him again. His kindness, generosity, and unforgettable laughter transform our grief into gratitude for having known such a man. His spirit lives on through the lives he touched and the lessons he shared. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, but forever remembered with love and admiration.
