Larry Lee Angel, 80, of Wauchula, Fla., passed away on September 25, 2025. He was born on October 19, 1944, in Decatur, Ill., a resident of Hardee County for 22 years, Larry came to the area from Sarasota, Fla. He was a Baptist by faith and spent his career as a service manager for a semi-truck dealership. Larry honorably served in the United States Army with tours in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Angel Sr. and Lily Cowger Angel. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Violet Angel of Wauchula and his children, Larry Angel Jr. of Avon Park, Fla., and Theresa Ewan of Alexandria, Ala. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Malachi Devlin, Brittany Devlin, Tiffany Wolff, Raven Ewan, and great-grandchild, Lily Jones. A graveside service in his honor will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. Chaplain Justin Phaneuf will be officiating.
