Larry Joseph Ballerini, 68, of Mark passed away on August 30, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Service will be at a later date. Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
Larry was born on April 2, 1955 in Spring Valley to Lino and Lucille Marie (Pizzamiglio) Ballerini. He married Deborah Jones.
He was in the United States Marine Corp II and received the Rifle Marksman Badge, Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
Larry was a diesel mechanic at Illinois Cement. He also worked at Road Oil and Quaker Lane in McNabb until he retired.
He loved making wine, baking and cooking. Larry loved spending time with his grandsons Julian and Griffin. He also loved riding his Harley motorcycle until he was no longer able, because of his health.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Jones; four sons, Lorenzo (Renata) Ballerini and their children, Joseph and Sebastian Ballerini; son, Cody (Allie Burden) Ballerini and their children, Julian and Griffin; son, Zach (Chelsie Nave) Ballerini and their children, Graycee, Bentley and Neveah and son, Mike Ballerini; two daughters,Valerie Ballerini and her children, Jazmyn and Xavier and daughter, Vanessa (Josh) Spalding and their children Trinity, Jason and Alycia; two sisters, Laura (Joe) Beltz and Linda (Greg) Martin and four sisters-in-law, Roberta Ballerini, Gayle Ellena, Lesly Urnikis and Sandy (Calvin) Neubaum; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barb & George Donnelly. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis and Lee; two nephews, Bradley and Daniel and brother-in-law, Michael Ellena.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to his family.
