Larry Alan Bennett passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Herkimer, New York on April 07, 1959, to his parents George and Arthella Bennett. Larry was born a twin and is predeceased by his twin brother Garry. Larry had ten other siblings and is survived by his sisters Darlene, Susan, Georgia, Kathy, Mary-Ann and his brothers Bill and Dale Bennett. He is also predeceased by another three Brothers George, Floyd, and Arthur Bennett. Larry relocated to Gloversville New York in 1989 after meeting his Wife Amber Denise Dedicke (Bennett) whom he married on June 6th, 1992. They had forty-four wonderful years together, celebrating their thirty third wedding anniversary this past June. They spent the last 23 years raising their Granddaughter, who was more like their daughter together and he considered his own, Aleacia M. Dedicke. Raising her was one of his greatest accomplishments, and greatest joys. There was nothing he loved more than the two of them. Larry was a little man with big work ethic. He worked most of his life as a dairy farmer. Later he became a custodian at the Mt. Carmel Church in Gloversville. His entire body was made up of heart, skill, and sense of humor. He enjoyed the simple life and all that it offered. He made short work of jokes and didn't mind being the funny guy. Any excuse to be around his family and the people he loved. From parties, celebrations or a simple family game night it's what made his world go round. Larry is also survived by his two sons Jason Lynch, and Joshua Dedicke. His grandchildren Ariel and Anthony Dedicke. Several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Special family members Travis and Carl Eades, Michael Emrick, Shauna Smith (Brandon), Brooke Guist (Gage) Roxxann Valentine (Jared), Kyla Kolwalke, Anton Chaimouratov, and Desiree Carpenter. There will be no services, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
