I was saddened to hear of Larry's death. I met him 30 years ago through Rick and Kathy M. in Alexandria. I went fishing with Larry and Rick several times over the years. He also used to stop in and see us when we lived in Two Harbors in the early 80's. I always enjoyed seeing him and talking with him. He was a good listener and always concerned how you were doing. It's been several years since I've seen him. Kathy called me Thursday and told me what had all happened. May he rest in peace and God be with you and your family.

Dear Corky, Josh & Sarah, Jamie and the entire Blackledge family: We're so saddened by Larry's passing. You can be so proud to have had him as a Husband, Dad , Father-in-Law,Son-in-Law, Brother, beloved Son and Friend. One can never know what each new day will hold in any of our lives.......we can only know WHO holds each new day. Martha's visitation and prayer time with Larry last Sunday afternoon was timely and she knew she should go then. Someday you'll be able see Larry again and what a joyful reunion you will have. Our God in Christ has promised that. Your lives it is true will not be the same without Larry, but Larry is in a place of real love and peace now with God Himself and for that you can rejoice and find consolation and hope and courage. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this time of great sorrow and grief. May God's presence be felt in each of your lives in a great way and may you trust in Him for all of your needs in every area of your lives. Much, much love, Rodney and Martha Beystrom.

Larry will be remembered by the members of the MASF for many personal reasons and the shared times on fishing trips, including his snell/spinner tying sessions, eating the center from the pie on a Lake of the Woods winter trip, and his thong/straw hat attire on the Devils Lake trip, among many other shared experiences.

He will be missed.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
