Larry Blank

Lawrence C. Blank, “Larry”, of Muskego, WI, passed away on March 18, 2026 at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deanna (nee Doll) Blank; his children Christy and Dean; and his brother Steve. He will be fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen (nee Olson) Blank; and his in-laws Elmer and Irma Doll.

Larry worked as a printer for American Bowling Congress for 34 years. Outside of work, he always had a sense of adventure, his travels taking him hiking and biking in WI and beyond. He took many trips to Devil’s Lake and Door County, and when the itch to travel caught him he was off out West- notably to Colorado, the Great Plains, and the Dakotas. He had a love of trains, setting up a beautiful model in the basement complete with the bluffs and sky of Devil’s Lake. He won many awards for his trains, that were so big they took a U-Haul to move. While at home, Larry loved watching Westerns and spending time with his family.

Larry was very artistic, one of his biggest passions. He was skilled with making models and miniatures. His children fondly remember working on school projects with him, especially history projects. His help gave them a leg up on their peers, as they were often accused of having dad help with their assignments.

Larry and Deanna met while attending school at MATC, and went on many dates for Larry’s guilty pleasure- hamburgers. After 10 years together the two were married, and welcomed their two children Christy and Dean. Larry was always involved in their lives, and with Deanna they built a happy home. He will be missed in the more mundane moments as the Family Dishwasher.

A funeral service for Larry will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (S66W14325 Janesville Rd., Muskego WI, 53150) at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Larry will be interred at Highland Memorial Park.
