Larry Joe Boyd, 80, of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 at his home.

Born June 3, 1945 in Spring Valley, Illinois, Larry was born the son of the late James Ralph and Hazel Mae (Greathouse) Boyd. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Boyd, and two brothers, Ronnie and Richard Boyd. On January 14, 1978 in Peru, Illinois, Larry was united in marriage to Debra Ann Severson.

Larry is survived by his wife, Debra of forty-seven years; one daughter, Michelle Ichikawa of Hawaii; one brother, Gary Bruno of Granville, IL; thirteen grandchildren; as well as six great-grandchildren.

Larry was a graduate from Hopkins High School in Granville, Illinois. He served his country in the United State Marines from 1965 to 1968 during the Vietnam War serving 13 months in Vietnam. He was employed forty plus years for Huntsman Corporation in Peru, Illinois moved to the Green Castle area to make his home thirteen years ago. He was a member of River Rats Muzzle Loaders and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

It was Larry's wish to be cremated and no service will be held. Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville, Missouri.

Local arrangements will be through Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville, IL.

Graveside services with military honors conducted by members of the Granville VFW, Granville American Legion and the Marine Corp Honor Guard.

Granville services will be June 3, 2026.
