Larry Lee Brenneis, born October 16, 1950, in Steele City, Neb., passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 74.
Larry spent much of his life in Beatrice, Neb., where he owned a small farm and worked for Northern Natural Gas until his retirement. A man of many passions, Larry loved his horses and working on and restoring cars and tractors. His friendly nature earned him many friends within the community he cherished so deeply.
He is survived by his two sisters, Martha Jean Brenneis and Lavina Smith; his daughter, Heather Harris; her husband, Matt Harris; and two granddaughters. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus (Mike) Brenneis and Katharina (Tena) Brenneis.
He was a devoted member of Christ Community Church, where he found fellowship and faith throughout his life.
Larry's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Christ Community Church, with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Joy Creek Cemetery, near Hollenberg, Kan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
