Larry Bridell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Reeder-Davis Funeral Home - Ore City on Nov. 7, 2025.
Larry Bridell, of Avinger, Texas, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025. He was born July 26, 1942, in Nevis, Minnesota, to Earl and Nina Bridell.
Larry proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Air Force, where he retired after a long and dedicated career. Following his military service, he continued his passion for aviation as a commercial pilot, flying for Delta Airlines for two years and for American Airlines for seventeen years. He later served as a corporate pilot for Mark Hankins Christian ministry for ten years, where he combined his love of flying with his deep faith and commitment to service. His sense of adventure then led him to the Alaskan Bush, where he spent seventeen years as a pilot navigating some of the most challenging and beautiful skies in the world.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Larry found joy in the outdoors. He also loved NASCAR and IndyCar racing, and his passion for aviation gave him the opportunity to travel the world. He had a special place in his heart for the Special Olympics and supported its mission with pride and compassion.
Larry was a member of Grace Creek Church and New Covenant Church. At the time of his passing, he was completing a book titled "Mind of an Eagle but the Heart of God."
He is survived by his loving wife, Susie Bridell; three brothers, Durwood, Ray, and Ken; and three sisters, Delores, Leone, and Alice. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Roy; and two sisters, Madeline and Arlysis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Coffeeville Cemetery.
