Larry Jay Bridge was reunited with his love, Cora on July 11, 2025. He lived a very full life of joy and was loved by many. Those who were lucky enough to be loved by him are the authors of this tribute. His son, Robert shares that his dad instilled a love and appreciation for the outdoors and a desire to go on adventures. He was always taking his boys into the middle of nowhere to find something neat such as a rock formation, a hidden lake, an abandoned mine, or just a place to play. Larry's son, Bry spent the best parts of his life chasing fish and being outside. A love instilled during his childhood. Some of Rob's earliest and most fun memories involved fireworks. Dad loved fireworks. Rob's wife, Amy loved how Larry strived to care for others. He was always looking for ways to spoil his family. His generosity had no bounds. Larry's granddaughter, Lilly, was also amazed by Larry's giving nature and his storytelling abilities. Time passed quickly when Larry shared tales of his life and she will miss his stories the most. Larry's grandson, Steven indicated that Larry was foundational to his love of nature and he will always remember Larry when he is outside. Another granddaughter, Amber shared a fond memory of how Larry had some baby blankets finished for the great-grandkids that Cora had started but had not finished before her passing. He was very thoughtful and loving towards his family. She felt Larry had a jolly soul and his happy voice would fill the room. Zachary, another grandson, shared that he always felt that Larry had a genuine interest in his life and he never felt judged by him. Larry truly saw the best in everyone. Another grandson, Drew, loved camping up at Echo with Larry. Many fond memories were made with all of us up there. Larry also shared an interest in outdoor survival with Drew. Larry always asked about his other granddaughter, Brenna, and was so impressed with her art. While not an artist himself, he was very skilled in using his hands for woodworking, welding, gardening, and general tinkering. Brenna shared that Larry had a contagious smile that would light up the room. He also introduced her to Trader Joe's and she will always think of him when she goes there. Larry always shared with us when he found a good deal shopping. Brenna and Larry shared the same birthday of September 5th. Brenna's husband, Lynden felt Larry was always so thoughtful with gift-giving to the kids. Larry adored all of his great-grandkids too and was always looking for little treasures to spoil them with. One of his great-granddaughters, Evee, loved that Grandpa Larry danced with her, Elodie, and Nova at Lilly's wedding. She loved his stomping dance! Midas, Clayton, and Clifton are too young to remember much but were also very loved by Larry. One of Larry's best friends, Val, shared that Larry grew up a city kid but was a country boy at heart. He loved being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing, although being on horseback was a particular challenge to him (ask Val if you want a good laugh). One of Larry's other best friends was his dog Mollie. He loved her dearly and wanted to be with her in the end. Larry will be missed greatly, but his love and memories we all shared with him will live on in our hearts. Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I'll miss you until we meet again.
There will be a celebration of life for Larry on Saturday, July 19th, from 2-4 at our home located at 13711 S. Belmont Park Ave in Herriman, Utah. We will eat good food, share memories of Larry and celebrate his life. Dress is casual. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Best Friend Animal Sanctuary in Larry's honor.

Gina M Cecala

July 16, 2025

I am so sorry to hear about Larry's passing. I knew Larry when I was dating (6 years) then married (4 years) his brother Kim. My name is Gina Corona Cecala but I was a Bridge for about 4 years when married to Kim. I remember Robbie and Bryant when I was with Kim. I even, at one time, made a stuffed animal for Robbie when he was a baby/toddler. If I remember correctly it was a red dog. I knew that Larry worked for the gas company and so did my sister and brother-in-Law, Dianna & Steve Naccarato. Steve knew Larry and at times would stop by his house in Murry just to say hi. Its a small world.

Larry was always a great guy and he was, as the obit states, very much a lover of the outdoors and his yard was always the best, well kept, one in the neighborhood. He was kind and always treated me well when I was in the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and I hope that your memories of Larry are full of joy and they put a smile on your face. That's how I remember Larry. Take care!
