Adams Funeral Home - BlountstownLarry Ray Brown, 65, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on October 21, 1960, to Benny Neel Brown, Sr. and Shirley Siprell Brown. Larry lived a life full of heart, laughter, and a deep love for the simple things that made him the happiest.
Larry found his peace outdoors whether he was out on the river or spending time in the woods. He loved the quiet moments under wide-open skies, the thrill of running the dogs, and the easy laughter that came from being surrounded by good friends and family. His love for nature was something he shared freely, leaving everyone around him with a greater appreciation for the beauty of the woods and the simple life.
He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Madison Brown, and his precious granddaughter, Blakeleigh Creamer, who were the light of his life and the joy of his every day. Larry is also survived by his mother, Shirley Brown, his sister, Karen Sue Brown (Steve), his brother Neel Brown, and sister, Sandra Burkett (Donny), and numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly and hold his memory close to their hearts.
Larry attended Carrabelle High School and excelled in auto and marine mechanics. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Franklin County Road Department, where he worked faithfully for many years, retiring in 2013 as Assistant Supervisor. Following retirement, he began driving trucks for Fant Enterprises and later Sapp Trucking. He loved driving and enjoyed the comradery of being with all the guys.
Larry will be remembered for his big smile, his generous spirit, his quick sense of humor, and the deep care he showed to everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the stories told on the logging trips, running the dogs in the woods, the quiet moments on the river and in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known him.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown on November 8, 2025. There will be a time of visitation 11am ET followed by the service at 12noon ET with Reverend Scott Shiver officiating. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor the life of a man who truly loved the simple beauty of living.
