Larry Gene Burchfield

Larry Gene Burchfield, age 75, of Knoxville, TN, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Larry was of the Christian faith and a member of the Church of the Painful Truth. After graduating from Fulton High School, he spent several years as a touring musician and drummer for the Macon Bacon Band before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his return home, Larry married Regina Lett, and together they were blessed with one son, Larry Spencer. He went on to work in private-sector security while continuing his passion for music as a professional drummer. In addition, Larry was a dedicated instructor in Isshin-Ryu Karate, sharing his skill and discipline with many students over the years. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ima Lee Burchfield; brother, Tommy Burchfield (Linda); and sister, Patsy Robertson. He is survived by his son, Larry Spencer Burchfield, age 46; grandson, Landon Lee Burchfield, age 16; and brothers, Wade Burchfield (Pauline), Michael Burchfield (Sadonna), James Burchfield, and Russell Burchfield (Stacy).
