LONG BOTTOM – Larry “Peat” Carnahan, 94, of Long Bottom, OH, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Born on November 4, 1931, in Long Bottom, OH, he was the son of Arthur “Delbert” and Hilda Baum Carnahan.
Larry enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching sports, especially his grandchildren’s games and college basketball. Larry was also a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness.
Larry is survived by his son Corey (Julie) Carnahan; grandchildren, Megan (Kenny) Redlin, Max (Gabby) Carnahan and Tessa (Blake) Apperson; 8 great grandchildren, Tori and Chase Redlin, Tatum, Brady and Harlan Carnahan, Dakota, Austin, and Maddie Carnahan; and a sister, Delores Hartness.
He is pre-deceased by his parents; his wife, Joan Erdman Carnahan; son, Dave Carnahan; grandson, Donnie Carnahan; two brothers; and two sisters.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to caregivers Tracy Calaway, Nicci Savoy and Delores Hartness, as well as Amedisys Hospice Care and Arbors Pomeroy.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Ewing Funeral Home of Pomeroy.
