Very sad to hear this news. Even sadder that I can not be there to honor my friend. Your candle burns long after you're gone, Pal.

Jeanie and children the ones of us who went through Averill, Dowling and BHS with Larry are deeply saddened by his passing. I and numerous others were his friends for almost 70 years. We feel heart broken that he has left this earth and at the same time we feel a sense of warmth knowing that he has become an angel, in a better place and pain free. We have been telling Larry stories and sharing our memories. Larry was a character with a heart of gold. Thank you for opening your Pickton home with us. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. God always gets us through the going through.

Larry was a classmate of mine in the 105th Session of the Border Patrol Academy. He and I and 15 others were the native Texans that were members of that class. Although Larry and I were never stationed together, our paths crossed many times. He was a great guy and I will miss him. RIP my friend!
