Larry Cole Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marcom-Harvey Funeral Care on Dec. 12, 2025.
Larry Cole was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to loving parents Clarence Cole and Georgia Mae Cole. He was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri school system and later became a highly respected journeyman. Larry's life was defined by hard work, faith, and meaningful relationships. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit, and steadfast devotion to those he loved.
Larry dedicated more than three decades to his trade as a skilled electrician. Beginning his career in 1971 and working through 2004, he took great pride in his work and was known for his reliability and strong work ethic. His craftsmanship left a lasting imprint on the Kansas City area, as he helped run electrical wiring for major landmarks, including Arrowhead Stadium and Worlds of Fun, prior to their opening.
While his professional accomplishments were significant, Larry found his greatest joy in family. He was the proud father of his only son, Larry Cole Jr., whom he deeply adored. An avid fisherman, Larry cherished time spent on the water with his Mama and other relatives. For more than twenty years, he made annual trips to Minnesota, creating cherished traditions and memories that will forever remain close to the hearts of his family.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia Mae Black and Clarence Cole, his stepfather, Will O. Black and sister Shirley Joe Cole.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Larry Cole Jr., brother, Glen D. Cole, Grandchildren, Lamaré Nelson Cole, Kasey James Cole, and Kamare Lakai Cole. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Keith Bly, Glen D. Cole Jr., Brandy Cole, Courtney Cole, and Chaniece Cole, along with a host of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Larry's legacy is one of love, dedication, and family. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the impact he made will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
