My sincerest condolences to the Craddock family. Larry was so encouraging when I decided to leave the Comptroller's office and head out for law school in my mid-30s. If my dad, Gene Palmer, were still around, he'd be joining me in praising Larry as a great administrative law practitioner and colleague in that field. Larry and I had many conversations over the years and I'll always remember how proud he was of his daughter, Blair. He will be missed!

Condolences to all in the Craddock Family. Know that Larry contributed mightily to the field of Administrative Law on a national and state level for which we are forever grateful. I always enjoyed spending time with him at conferences around the country. His genteel manner along with his knowledge and experience of Ad Law, which he freely imparted to colleagues, compelled me to seek his sage advice.I will miss him.

Mary, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Larry. I have valued your and his friendship over many years. He was truly a wonderful and helpful person. I can't emphasize how much he helped me in my career when I returned to Austin. He was most helpful in introducing me to the people in the finance area where I began my career in financial reporting for the State of Texas. We always had wonderful conversations about the ups and downs of government service as we moved from here to there. I will always value his friendship. My thoughts are with you and the girls. How fortunate you both are to have had such a long and successful marriage and friendship. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend the memorial service since I am going to Portland that day. I really wish I could be there. I was planning on attending this last Sunday until Nell told me it was next Sunday. I would have been there all alone wondering how I went wrong. With love, Lynn Gunn, Austin Texas July 25,

Mary, I am sorry to hear of Larry's passing. He was a good man, a good Judge and a good friend. I enjoyed the time we spent together. You and Larry were probably the most loving and compatible couple I ever knew. Bryan Poff

I knew him as both as Judge Craddock and as my friend Larry. He felt strongly about good government; professionalism of administrative law judges; and the proper role of lawyers as counselors to governmental officials. I learned much from him. As a friend, I knew him to be a person of wide interests; a gentle man.
My condolences to Mary and the family. We will all miss him, but we will all continue to benefit from what we have learned from him.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Larry will always be known as "Judgey" to several of us at the DOB. That is the affectionate name several of us gave him. He was always smiling and happy, even when he was under a deadline. In retirement, it was nice to see him from time to time in the driveway as we were rushing to work. RIP Craddock.

The world has lost a special man...and I have lost a dear friend. He was a fun person to be around...always positive and funny. We shall miss his wit, his love for his old school mates and his love for his family. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Dear Mary and Craddock family,
My deepest condolences for your loss. Larry's contribution and leadership in the Administrative Law arena and the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary will live on forever. Having met you and Larry nearly 20 years ago, I always enjoyed catching up at the NAALJ events and hearing about your many travels. He will truly be missed. He was one of a kind!

Larry taught me so much early in my legal career and was a perfect model of how to remain calm in the face of a storm (which always had Mr. Bullock's name attached to it). If ever there was a kinder, gentler face on the planet, I never met him or her. His absolute dedication to Mary was evident, for every time Amy and I ran into them, Mary was smiling and they were having fun. It's important for couples to have fun together and they knew it. Much later in our friendship, Larry arranged for Amy, then a St. Mary's Law student, to publish a paper in a prestigious administrative law journal, a career advancement she'll be forever proud of. To say Larry will be missed doesn't at all convey that he meant to so many. But, he will be.

Larry was an incredible person in so many ways. He was so wise, kind and caring. Larry was a great host and always made me feel important, just being in the same space. His open and generous heart was obvious to anyone who was lucky enough to be in his presence. Rest easy, Larry. You did so much for others and you left an incredible legacy in your daughters and grandchildren. I know you meant the world to them.

There will NEVER be another Larry. He could make you laugh with his dry wit and always made you feel important (even though he was the important one). The times we had in high school and the most recent at our First Friday at Central Market made us love him anymore. He will be missed but we have the joy of knowing this is not forever....rest easy dear friend, until we meet again. To Mary and Blair and Ashley and the rest of his wonderful family...my heart aches with yours. Love to all
