Larry W. Cyphers, 81, of Junction City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home. Cremation will take place. No services are planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Good Shepherd Foundation 3801 Vanesta Drive Manhattan, Kansas 66503 or to the First United Methodist Church 804 N. Jefferson Street Junction City, Kansas 66441.
Larry was born August 14, 1944, in Council Bluffs, Iowa the son of Harold W. and Violet L. (Daymude) Cyphers.
Larry had many careers in his lifetime. He worked as a mechanic for a local Chevrolet and Buick Dealership for many years. He also worked for Mid America Machines. He retired from the Geary Community Hospital after working in the information technology department for many years.
Larry enjoyed playing music with different bands for much of his adult life. He served seven years in the Kansas National Guard.
Larry married Janice Sanders July 15, 1964.
Survivors include his wife Janice of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Darren Cyphers and his wife Christina of Topeka, Kansas.
Other survivors include one brother-in-law Francis Sanders and his wife Phyllis of Junction City, Kansas; two sister-in-laws Karen Cyphers and Margyre Anholtz; two grandchildren, Madison and Trenton Youngblood; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Anita and one brother Harold.
